Working in partnership with Toshiba distributor Cool Designs, Skyline Air Conditioning have installed all new Toshiba award-winning air condition equipment at Solent University’s impressive new sports complex.
The new building, as part of part of an ongoing £100m estates development programme, has been created to offer word-class facilities and be the centre of excellence for sports, fitness and related research for the university and surrounding region. The new development also complies with Southampton City Council’s initiative on tackling and adapting to climate change.
The following award-winning Toshiba equipment was installed on the project;
- Three-pipe heat recovery SHRMe & two-pipe SMMSe VRF systems
- Toshiba Digital Inverter splits with applied DX combined coil systems
- CIAT Floway DX System
- Compact CIAT AHU twinned with Toshia digital inverter condensing unit
All the equipment provides the heating and cooling requirements of the multiple spaces within the building, ensuring optimum conditions for athletes, visitors and staff, while delivering excellent energy efficiency and low running costs.
Designed to achieve a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating of ‘Excellent’, the complex comprises of two sports halls, three studios, a strength and conditioning high-performance gym, a general-purpose gym accessible to the public, a sports and exercise therapy space, and personal training and teaching gyms
With the project now completed, the new complex will be in full use later this year.
