Completed within the first quarter of 2017, Skyline Air Conditioning were a key part of the mechanical construction contract of the iconic new No.2 St. Peter’s Square Landmark office space development project.
Having demolished four multi-story office buildings in the heart of the Manchester City Centre, the office development project originally started back in June 2015. The new multi-story landmark presents high quality, BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade ‘A’ office space across 12 floors. Offering 161,112 sq ft office space with a further 5,142 sq ft of ground floor leisure space, the landmark building also presents a first-class 72 vehicle car parking facility.
As Daikin D1+ Premium Partner installation experts, Skyline Air Conditioning were appointed by Crown House Technologies to install the specified Daikin systems . Having chosen to implement Daikin VRV Systems, this technology presents a multi-zone air conditioner with variable refrigerant flow control making it the perfect choice for larger office buildings who may share multiple tenants. Offering the flexibility to maintain individual zone control in each room, Daikin are at the forefront as one of the world’s leading manufactures in air conditioning.
Skyline’s installation comprised of;
- 2 Daikin Heat Pump Systems serving lift lobbies
- 22 Daikin RVR IV Heat Recovery Systems for each floor
- Air-to-water heat pump serving reception underfloor heating circuit
- Central control with full Building Management System interface (BMS Controller)

The design and installation was managed by Skyline’s Northern office based in Greater Manchester. Skyline’s ability to deliver complete working systems within strict programmes was a key factor in the appointment of being involved in the St. Peter’s Square office development project.
