Skyline Air Conditioning have been involved in one of the biggest and most significant urban development projects in the UK. Working under main contractor Carillion, Shepherd Engineering Services won the contract to deliver both mechanical and electrical services on the large-scale redevelopment of the Kings’s Cross area named Kings Cross P1.

Wanting to install Mitsubishi heat pump systems, Shepherd Engineering Services turned to certified Mitsubishi business solution partners Skyline Air Conditioning to install Mitsubishi Heat Pump Systems to deliver effective, low carbon heating and cooling which will offer improved energy efficiency.

The redevelopment of Kings Cross is set to deliver a combination of residential, commercial community and educational facilities which will include two state-of-the-art schools and a nursery, Kings Cross will house 225 apartments across 10 floors which is set to transform the area with the creation of 50 buildings, 2,000 new sustainable homes, 20 new streets and 10 new public squares across an area of 67 acres set to follow. It is anticipated that the development, which will in itself require a new postcode, N1C, will see 45,000 people live, work and study in the area.
